GETTING CREATIVE

Doing something fun, creative and with food was the name of the game yesterday. I have so many recipes that I've never gotten to try we decided to start with this one. Just so you understand this recipe is from Canadian Livings Holiday Recipe magazine from 1997.
Aside from being adorable it also is tasty to make. There were a lot of licked fingers. (Thank goodness they weren't made as gifts but as a snack.)
I posted the recipe picture because the kids kept eating parts of theirs as they worked.

LAST CONTEST BEFORE THE NEW YEAR

This is the last contest of the year. It seems that my contests are too easy. People are just getting the answers just like that. I'm amazed. Anyway, I figured that I have to come up with something challenging. Then I got the idea of sudoku. Here's the challenge. Finish the puzzle first and the prize is yours. (I hope this contest lasts longer than 2 hours.)
With this large a challenge I am offering a large prize. You get to choose one of these three bags.
Good luck.

"LET'S GET SPIRITUAL"

I have met (virtually) two amazing artists. They are very different in style yet are connected through their message. They want to convey to you and to others the spirituality of ourselves. For many spirituality is being connected to God. For many spirituality is being a person connected to those around them, to the universe, and being loving to others and to oneself.

We sometimes get lost and need a reminder. These two artists have lovely pieces that will not only remind you but are lovely to wear. They have come to design these pieces through difficult situations that put life in a clearer focus.

They are Shlomo from RUSpiritual http://ruspiritual.com/index.html

A GIFT GUIDE FOR THE LITTLE PRINCE IN YOUR LIFE

I have a crazy way of shopping for toys for little boys. I very frequently end up purchasing toys made out of wood. Wooden toys are more substantial, and have the possibility of being passed on from generation to generation. We have a set of wooden toys that are about 60 years old. They've been well used, look terrific and are treasured.

When I started to think about featuring a gift guide for boys, I was so attracted to the wooden toys(again). There is such a nice selection on etsy, made by very skilled craftsmen (one is a lady).
Check out the toys that are being featured. When you visit the different shops be sure to browse through each shop. There are many treasures to find.

Prices range from $3.50 till $60. You will have a hard time resisting these toys.

DESIGNER GIFT GUIDE (PRICE NOT AN ISSUE)

When we buy gifts, we always want to please the recipient. Sometimes, we even put aside the issue of price.

For those special purchases (and for treating ourselves) I thought this guide would be useful. It features well made, original, chic, clothing that has that special designers touch. I'm sure you will find that special something in this collection.
