I'd like to introduce to two great bag designers. They both have a passion for creating, designing and beautiful fabrics.

Wendy is the creator behind Bags and Buds (www.bagsandbuds.etsy.com). She belongs to the Carried Away Bag Team (CABT).
She designs bags of the finest fabrics and with interesting details (like weaving different fabrics). Her signature is her floral buds that adorn almost everything including her key wristlets and hair accessories.

Wendy has been chairing the CABT challenge to raise funds for the "adopt" a soldier project. Visit the team shop at www.cabteam.etsy.com to see all of the freedom bags.

Kathleen is the designer behind gm Purseanalities (www.gmpurseanalities.etsy.com). She belongs to Unique Women In Business (UWIB).
She loves creating with many mediums including paper and wood. Right now, though, her two biggest passions are bags with a lot of ooomphff and jewelery.
Her Timeless Dragonfly Bag is on Etsy Storque Voter - Fabric Frenzy. It is typical of her eye catching designs.

The top bag is Wendys and the lower one is Kathleens. (Now that I know how to upload pictures, I have to figure out some more fine points. Until then please excuse the amateur look).

I suddenly realized that I started blogging about Unique Women In Business and Carried Away Bag Team in a most disorganized fashion. What I really should have done is introduce the founders of the two teams first. I will do my best to rectify that situation right now.

The two creative women, with a lot of vision, are Erin of UWIB, and Krystal of CABT.
Both of them have careers and are creatively talented. Both are moms. Both of them have handmade businesses as well.

They have each created a team (or group) that is unique in format, yet essentially similar in function. Both founders have established groups that foster promotion of the team,, promotion of the individual shops and most of all a forum of support. There is humor and kindness, as well, that really helps you get through trying days.

UWIB is a group of women in business for themselves. They are in direct sales, handcrafting, and selling or women who just love to shop.

Erin, loves making jewelery. (I hope I'm forgiven about not illustrating with pictures, but I've just figured it out and will start with the next blog). Take the time to see her shop at www.erinkeys.etsy.com. Look for her Carrie Necklaces. They have made the front page of Etsy countless times and has even been featured in a magazine. Erin is also consultant for a line of botanically based products and mineral cosmetics which you will find at www.pinkpapayaparties.com/erin .

Krystal is the founder of the CABTeam. She created this team to include any one that makes a bag of any kind. If you can put something in it - than it's a bag.

Her real profession is being a graphic designer. Her real passion is designing and creating unique bags. Take the time to visit her shop at www.solsisters.etsy.com and her flickr stream www. flickr.com/photos/solsisters. There are many photos of bags made as gifts and those sold out side of Etsy.

Krystal has encouraged the group to be community oriented, as well as self directed.

Originally I thought to feature one person from each team a week. It just hit me that that would take almost forever. Soooo, I will be blogging twice a week instead. There are so many talented people that I want to find out more about and I am sure you do too.

Now that I have figured out the photo part of the blog, I would also like to find unique, fun, beautiful, different items and feature them as well. Hopefully, in a few days I will be back from my travels and will start on this great project.

I must confess that this is the first time I've blogged. Therefore, don't laugh when I point out to you that the second paragraph is the first. Well, you can chuckle. In any case I do hope you enjoy the blog.

I'm sure you've noticed the lack of photos, as well. Well, I still have not figured out that part. I hope my featured designers will forgive me.

The designer from CABT is Celena from Glint Gear at Etsy(http://www.glintgear.etsy.com/) . She not only makes marvelous bags that are original and unique, but she paints and designs the canvas for each bag. She is an artist whos canvas is shaped into various style bags. The bags are unique and innovative in design and her paintings are luscious colors. I love looking at her work. Take a look and I'm sure you will find something that you'd like to have.

GREAT DESIGNERS

I've met some great designers in the two groups I belong to. I am going to feature one from each team, each week. In that way I will get to know them and so will you. I belong to Unique Women In Business and to the CABT the Etsy Bag Maker Team.

The designer of the week for Unique Women in Business (http://www.uniquewomeninbusiness.blogspot.com/) is Kim of Beautiful Bridget on Etsy. Designing is so much a part of her, that if she isn't doing any thing with her hands she just falls asleep. I can believe it. Just look at her beautiful creations. I love to crochet and I am just so impressed with her work. I am sure you will fall in love with her work as well
